Weed and Wine was written at a well known winery in Humboldt County. Humboldt County is one of the 3 counties that make up the The Emerald Triangle in Northern California. I started working there first on their cannabis and then on their wine vines. The winery was owned by a local family who lived on property. They trained you in person and worked right along side you at a break neck pace. It was surely the hardest job I've ever worked and I loved it. As I got to know the farmer, foreman and workers, I gained a respect for the amount of labor and pride that created their weed, wine and brand. Everyone who was on the team was consumed with thoughts of weed and wine 24/7, but it was love that labored it all. You can find this mentality all over the Emerald Triangle. I just love this place and the people here. Please buy your cannabis from your local family farmers, so they can continue to grow for you with love. Especially Sunshine Saraceda of Sunboldt, my mentor who always says, "From the hills, to the street, love grows naturally," which are words I have included in this song. Also included in this song are the words of another farm family I love and respect, Merry Whether Farms. Their slogan, "Kissed by the sun." is included too! A really great reward for writing this song was being able to play it at The Weed and Wine Symposium in Santa Rosa 2021. Thanks to everyone who's presence in my life led to the writing of Weed and Wine!
lyrics
Love and light breezes, kissed by the sun
Lotta bit a work and then some fun
Big ol’ grapes on the vine
grows next to weed all the time
Weed and wine on my mind
Weed and wine all the time
Wine and weed
Weed and wine
Ya’ we goin’ out tonight
Gonna’ do it good, ya we gonna’ do it write
Little somethin’ that I need
Wine and weed
Weed and wine on my mind
Weed and wine all the time
Wine and weed
Weed and wine
Where love grows naturally
I’ll be feelin’ fine, ya’ I’ll be feelin’ free
From the hills to the street
Wine and weed, make life complete
Weed and wine on my mind
Weed and wine all the time
Wine and weed
Weed and wine

Public Service and making use of my skill set are important to me. I love to write songs all the time with good friends. My
latest songs were written sitting around the campfire with fighter fighters. I just spent a year touring in my sprinter van and playing shows across the country. I'm headed off to tour in England. Check out my tour schedule on Bands In Town or LinkTree....more
