Cannabis Cowboy

Cannabis Cowboy was written in Northern California's Emerald Triangle. It was inspired by a family of farmers I ran into at a local brewery. At the time, I was new to the area and they looked like they walked right out of a spaghetti western. As I drank my drink at the bar, I stared at one in particular. I looked him up and down and took in his outfit, the hat, buckle, boots, chops and all. I became more emboldened to ask about the details of what I imagined was his life. I walked right up to him and found out what I imagined was true. Sure enough, he and his family were "Cannabis Cowboys." They raise cattle and grow cannabis.
To me, Cannabis Cowboy represents the adventurous spirit and the wild rugged nature of the Emerald Triangle. This song is dedicated to the people and families that make up the traditional farming communities of The Emerald Triangle. This song celebrates the healing power of cannabis and calls you to embrace wanderlust. Sometimes chance encounters leave lasting impressions in your life and will change you for ever. It's with love of all things that grow and build lasting friendships that I share Cannabis Cowboy with you.
